The Greater Nagoya Area is situated in the heart of Japan and thus offers good access to both the Kanto and Kansai regions.

Osaka can be reached in 50 minutes and Tokyo in 1 hour and 40 minutes by Shinkansen. When the Linear Chuo Shinkansen Line starts running, access to Tokyo will be about 40 minutes.

Sea routes

Possessing an outstanding harbor environment, the Greater Nagoya Area serves as a distribution hub that connects Japan to the world. The Port of Nagoya, which connects the region to about 160 countries throughout the world, is one of the largest commercial ports in Japan in terms of both the total volume and value of goods handled.
Furthermore, the Port of Yokkaiichi plays a role as an energy supply hub with one of Japan’s largest petrochemical complex.

STATION Ai

Station Ai, which opened in October 2024, is the largest startup support hub in Japan.
With not only about 680 startups but also 360 partners, including companies, universities, and other entities (as of March 1, 2026), STATION Ai offers, under a single roof, facility functions and support programs necessary to grow startups and promote open innovation between members and thus establish innovative businesses.

Nagoya Innovators Garage

Nagoya Innovators Garage is a members innovation hub established in 2019 through collaboration between the Central Japan Economic Federation and Nagoya City.
As a venue for creation through the fostering of a culture of taking on challenges, transforming businesses, and industry-academia-government partnership, the organization has formed an innovation creation ecosystem in the Chubu Region with the goal of continually creating new industries and value.
