The Greater Nagoya Area is the home of numerous universities and research institutes researching advanced technologies that lead the world.
These universities and research institutes promote joint research with companies, which has resulted in the development of new technologies and creation of new industries.

Nagoya University

As the core university for the region with the most advanced manufacturing industry cluster, the school actively works to further reinforce its research and educational capabilities and to become international through various partnership projects in order to promote exchanges with the world. Having produced six Nobel Award winners in chemistry and physics, it boasts strong research capabilities.

Gifu University
